Another Hurricane Season is upon us. One of the biggest concerns is electrical power outages. Are you prepared? As you can see from the image link to the right, the American Red Cross has the "Blackout Buddy" for sale. These are essential to have in your home when lightning and winds of a hurricane wreak havoc on your neighborhood's power grid.
Some would say just get a generator. These are bulky, require gas and a bit more effort. Most outages in major cities where hurricanes may cause an outage only need a few hours to a day of some type of lighting. A compact charged device or a set of quality emergency flashlights
Now, for those who live in areas where a generator is needed due to a longer outage period do not hesitate to invest in one. Generators come in many different styles and price ranges. Click HERE to see a list of them available.
Finally, you can never go wrong with good old candles! These come i traditional flame and flameless varieties. I recommend the long lasting emergency candles. They come in different sizes and ways to ignite the flame. From plain slow burning wax to Sterno fueled candles you can find them HERE as well.
